The Game is an interactive on-line game in commemoration of the 50th Independence Day Anniversary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and to foster knowledge of Nigerian history in Nigerian

What's the Prize:
Subject to availability, the prizes available to winners are
1. 4 Nos Apple Ipads(1 per week) for the 4 players with the highest scores each week on Blast From the Past
2. 40 Nos Blackberry phones (10 per week) for forty people whose pictures are selected from the Retro Photo Quest.

Duration: The Game shall commence at 00.00.00am (Nigerian Time) on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 and for 4 (Four) weeks, terminating on November 2, 2010.

How to Play the Game:
• On gaining access to the site, the user is presented with 4 stages of the game -
o Motion for Independence
o Troubled Times
o The 80’s
o Return to Democracy
• You are then required to watch a short video clip showing events around the time frame indicated for that level(e.g. for stage 1, the video talks about events leading to the motion for independence)
• You read the instructions provided and proceed to play the game.
• The game is designed as an interactive animation interface in which the user is expected to a complete a course by avoiding obstacles and collecting coins and other items such as musical instruments(for stage 3) and ballot boxes(for stage 4)to gain points. Each coin has an equal value of points.
• On completion of that level, you will then proceed to the next level, to view another short video clip, followed by instructions on how to play.
• On completion of the last stage of the game, the user is free to play the game again to increase the total number of points, and it also helps him to stand a chance of winning the prize for that week.

Gulder Ultimate Search GUS, Nigeria ‘s premier television reality show now in its seventh edition, will be marking the 40th anniversary of Gulder, the brand behind the show, by admitting two additional contestants to the original ten.While unveiling finalists for this year’s adventure at the Lagoon Restaurant, Victoria Island, Lagos, Fleece, radio presenter with Cool FM and moderator of the event, announced amidst drama and suspense that, ‘GUS 7 will have 12 finalists instead of 10 to mark Gulder’s 40th anniversary and Nigeria’s 50th anniversaryrespectively.’

Past GUS winners Ezugo Egwuagu, Michael Nwachukwu and Uche Nwaezeapu; former anchor Bob Manuel-Udokwu and former contestant in the celebrity edition, Muma Gee were on hand to lend their voices on the choice for the final two contestants. The 12 contestants are to embark on a 21-day search for the ‘Ultimate Hero’ in Omo Forest Reserve, Ijebu East LGA, Ogun State.
41 candidates out of over 20,000 entries received nationwide made it to the final selection in Lagos. 18 from this number made the final shortlist from which the lucky 12 were drawn.

Starting a small scale business -Tips

Every business aspires to grow bigger day by day.Starting a small scale business the right way with the right ideas and strategy will help a lot. Here are a few things to considered before starting out ;

1. Location: The better the location the more attractive it will sound to your customers. If your company is located in a highly commercialized environment, it is likely to attract customers.

2. Have a good financial source: Make sure you have a good financial source. Starting a small business may become crooked if there is insufficient capital. With that your business will not experience set back.

3. Brand image: Make sure you have a good plan of what you want your company to look like. Then give the impression in your business by calling the attention of the buyers and seller with a good brand image. Create an easily recognizable logo.

4. Put all agreements in writing : Every agreement between yourself and workers or contractors should be put in written form.

5. Good Customer Care: Make sure your customer care service line or office is properly organized. Customers are always encouraged when they are properly attended to.

6. Provide customers with the right products or services: If your are a specialist in a particular business, make sure you focus your attention on it and if there are options which you know could be of a support to your business, try as much as possible to add them together.
