Waste is viewed and described in many ways.It can be seen as items used up and necessary for disposal or anything used or unused having no value to its immediate owner.From these conclusions, as the saying goes,''beauty is in the eyes of the beholder''.Waste too gets its name from its beholder.
Quite recently, the government has ban the importation of e-waste (supposedly called hazardous waste). The government failed to understand and view
these item from the perspective of the importers.......... e-wealth ??
Being a consuming nation, we cannot boast of any high tech company producing these individual electronic components. A lot of small business therefore depend on these e-waste as their main source of raw material used in repair,service and manufacturing of local electronics devices such as inverters, power boosters, converters,surveillance devices, security devices, control devices, automobile control devices. the list is endless.
In order to assist these '' silicon valley" businesses government could create good polices that would transcend to an attractive environment for electronic component manufacturers and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) such that all electronic items can be made and asswmbled here instead of importing all these item.These will in turn create massive employment for our youths and ensure the transfer of technology.
